[Tips and Tricks](https://support.audere.com/tips-and-tricks?hsLang=en) # Tips and Tricks: Reallocating Assignments ## When a resource's contract comes to an end, there's no need to go through the hassle of rebuilding the entire project. Instead of deleting a project assignment from a departing resource and creating it again for a new resource, simply reassign (reallocate) the existing assignment. You can [reallocate assignment hours](https://support.audere.com/reallocate-an-assignment?hsLang=en) from the **Project: People** or **Project: Phase** view of the Schedule page or resign from the **Edit Assignment** dialog. From the **Project: People** or **Project: Phase** view: 1. Hover your cursor over a P**erson (1)** or **Role** in the list of resources or tap the row if using a mobile device. When the floating action buttons appear, select the ![edit button-2](https://support.audere.com/hs-fs/hubfs/edit%20button-2.png?width=21&height=21&name=edit%20button-2.png) **More Actions (2)** button and then select **Reassign (3)**. 3. In the **Select Person (4)** field, select a new **Person (5)** or **Role** from the drop-down list. From the **Edit Assignment** dialog: 1. Select the **Assign To (2)** field and then select a new **Person (3)** or **Role** from the drop-down list. 3.
